HOP AFTERSHAVE Make It • Weigh out your hops, and place them into the jar. • Pour the astringent over the hops, and seal the lid. • Shake the jar daily for 2 weeks, and keep it out of direct light. • After 2 weeks, pour the contents through the funnel and strainer into a jar to allow the hop debris to settle. • Once all debris has settled, pour the “Hop- shave” into the original Witch Hazel container. • Pour a small amount into your hands, and splash it onto your face after you shave. That’s a nice color aftershave right there. Do NOT drink! Who doesn’t love the smell of hop in the morning? This homemade aftershave not only calms and tones irritated skin, but it smells awesome, too. The cool thing is that you can decide whether you want a citrusy aroma or more of an herbal aroma. So the next time someone tells you that you smell like a brewery, you can quickly respond, “That’s just my aftershave!” 46:
