If you have a TV, radio, or a computer you probably heard the media frenzy on Four Loko. This Malt Liquor/Energy drink has been taking some heat recently and the legal ramifications may have a huge affect on the craft beer industry. Some may not see this connection, but there are lots of beers using coffee and chocolate, which contain caffeine. If our crazy government, or the short sighted public think that banning this drink is a good idea, the beers we love and respect maybe be changed forever.
The Brewers Association has taken note and started to address this situation for the industry, but as beer drinkers we need to pay attention to laws that might not seem to pertain to the craft industry. Check out this press release and do what you can to stop the madness.
